about

I wrote "Hospital View" several years ago and it was included on a previous album, "Document" (out-of-print), in a very bare acoustic form. When it came time to record this EP, an internet radio station said they really liked the acoustic version and would like to hear a full-band version. So, I figured, why not?

lyrics

Sunny days on Kodachrome,
Memories captured when you were home,
Slide projections on the wall, that's all.

A tall glass of lemonade,
Just doesn't taste the same,
Ever since you went away last fall.

I know you said you'd visit,
But I didn't know,
That there would be so very few.

[int. break]

I know you said you'd visit,
But I didn't know,
That there would be so very few.
And while you're living,
I'm just sitting here,
With this hospital view.
